The Corps is an initiative from the European Commission that is supported by several European programmes (Erasmus+; Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI); LIFE; Europe for Citizens; Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and the Structural Funds) and comprises two strands :
A « volunteering » strand essentially opportunities in the full-time European voluntary service (EVS).
A « occupational » strand which provides jobs, traineeships or apprenticeships.
Scope of action : Activities can relate to various fields, but they must all have a solidarity dimension
Organisations : Any public or private organisation running solidarity-related projects and which have signed the Charter of the European Solidarity Corps.
Conditions : Any young person aged 18 to 30 can register on the online platform but participation in a project in not guaranteed and depends on the interest organisations have in your profile.
Pay and expenses : Depending on your status (volunteer, trainee, apprentice, employee): travel, accommodation, sustenance and insurance expenses and pocket money, or sustenance allowance or wage
Nationality : You must be legally resident in or have the nationality of one of the EU member states or following countries: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
